Springtime reflections

The cool and wet weather of 2011 is a year to test Minnesota gardeners.   We trimmed our garden size a little, as Jean had various doctor appointments.  During the month of May, in our reflections, we kept remembering how gardening and being outdoors is so very enjoyable and fulfilling to us, and we have a dandy garden again.

Our early spring crops were:  Spinach, Asparagus & rhubarb had our best year ever.

We planted:

Brocolli
"Tender pick" green beans   (Jean's favorite!)
Pole beans
Pea pods
About 12 Tomatoes
Sweet Corn
Beets
Onions

Laura came in mid-May, and reminded me how she LOVES sweet corn.   The 2 of us planted, and here's a photo of "Laura's sweet corn"  on June 4th.
