All four of us attended last night's (Holy Saturday) Easter vigil. The first 1/2 hour was in candle light. We had lots of music, and including: piano, organ, flute, violin, clairanet, 2 trumpets, kettle drums, and the Spanish choir joined my choir. It was invigorating to sing with that peppy assembly.
Today, I got up early for my weekend's 2-hour training ride. 34 degrees at dawn. Sunny, 15 mph breeze. 26 miles in 2 hours. I'm improving my MPH average. Today, I circled the Waterford & Randolph area.
3 high-lites on the bike:
--> My neighbor farmer was tilling his field at the crack of dawn. This is a big sign of spring! This farmer is always prepared and ready to go when weather is ready.
--> Two geese landing in the Cannon River valley. They honked as they settled onto the water.
--> I discovered the small iron bridge between Carleton's arb and Waterford.
Today we hosted the Easter holidays meals for family. We dyed 4-dozen eggs... John & I helped the Easter bunny hide the Easter eggs. :) Pat
