Hills of Wisconsin

Sparta, 4:00PM. Day #2:

I'm in Sparta, and hungry again. The guide at the Trail Center recommended Dorine's Cafe, and I pedaled downtown. The owner served my meal, and I overheard her telling a customer about a cold frost coming tonight. Folks are covering their tomatoes and Mother's Day flowers. My toasted panni sandwich of turkey & melted cheddar cheese with soup was delicious!

Sparta is called "The Bicycling Capital of America". I saw their town mascot "Ben Bikin", who is the world's largest bicyclist:

It's obvious that Reedsburg will be impossible by nightfall. I had a backup hotel listed in Elroy, so my new goal will be Elroy at 32 miles ahead. There are hills, and 3 long tunnels to walk through.
