It feels great to take it easy at John's apartment. We tried a variety of restaurants, and grilling meals.
Wednesday rained, and rained. Now, I'm really glad I came steadily, and am NOT on the gravel trails. I heard past stories of bicyclists caught in rainy weather. Those people without fenders looked like someone spray painted them in red clay. Yuck! Glad my rainsuit is still packed and clean.
With this luxury of free time, I found John busy on Wednesday night, so I borrowed John's car and visited a high school friend, Wayne & Johanna Vohnoutka. Wayne helped me look over my new photos, and share stories.
While visiting Wayne & Johanna, a huge rainstorm came up. After it passed, I drove the I-90 freeway back to Madison, but had to stop 15 minutes on the freeway's shoulder because I COULD NOT SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD! Another first of my life!
During this week, John gave me a tour at his EPIC office, and we bicycled. Here's the views from John's apartment. Notice - this was the week for beautiful crab apples blooming photos in Madison. Here's John's apartment view:
